The Course

The route is an out-and-back course starting on Studland Beach. It follows sand, national trails, and the Purbeck Way before turning back at Grange Hill. The run passes landmarks including the Sandbanks Chain Ferry, Old Harry Rocks, and Corfe Castle. The terrain includes sand, hills, and uneven trail, requiring trail shoes.

Unique Race Feature

One runner is selected to be "the Ferry". This runner starts at the back of the field and moves steadily forward. Finishing ahead of this runner is the event's unique challenge, and those who do so earn a special goodie bag.
