The Bar-Ka-Koo Ultra & Relay is a challenging trail running event held at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area in Parkland County. The race covers a total distance of 55 km, consisting of five 11 km loops with alternating directions each loop. The course is 75% technical single-track, self-supported, and minimally marked, offering a rugged and immersive trail experience.
Participants must complete the fourth loop by 8:00 pm within a 10-hour cutoff. The event features solo and relay categories, with a limit of 100 participants. Amenities include a warming tent, refreshments, and outhouses.
