Backyard Ultra - Chilton Candover

Blended Trails hosts a backyard ultra on private land at Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover, Hampshire SO24 9TX. The event is listed as sold out for the 2026 date and is Bronze Ticket approved within the Global Backyard Ultra community.

The course is a loop of approximately 6706 m that starts and finishes on the north edge of Godsfield Copse, passes the trig point on Bugmore Hill, and runs through woodland trails and field sidings with some gravel sections. One lap has roughly 120 m of elevation gain and loss. Route conditions are variable and the route is subject to change.

The backyard ultra format requires completion of 4.16666 miles in less than one hour for as many hours as each competitor can manage. When a lap is finished the remaining time in the hour is used to recover before the next loop. There is no predefined finish; the last person to complete a loop is declared the winner while all others are recorded as DNF under the event rules.

Event camp and registration open from Friday 5 June 2026 with the main event on Saturday 6 June 2026. Camp facilities include space for one tent or van per entry, a fuel table and water supply at camp and on route, toilets, hot water for drinks, 24/7 medical support and race timing next to the start, event photography, bespoke medals and a winners prize valued at £100. The venue sits at the edge of Godsfield Copse with views over the surrounding Hampshire countryside. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
