Bachelor Summit Trailfest

Bachelor Summit Trailfest is a multi-day mountain running event on the volcanic slopes of Mount Bachelor in the Central Oregon Cascades. The event occurs on October 3–4, 2026, with race headquarters at West Village Lodge and Pine Marten Lodge, 1,400 feet higher. Facilities at both lodges include restrooms, food, and water; Pine Marten Lodge also receives drop bags and has a cafe and restaurant onsite.

Registration fees include use of the Pine Marten Chairlift to travel between West Village Lodge and Pine Marten Lodge for the duration of each event. The event program includes timed summit loops (6-, 12-, and 24-hour formats) and three looped road and singletrack races over the weekend. Aid provision varies by course, with multiple fully stocked aid stations on summit routes and at Pine Marten Lodge. There is designated event parking and car and RV camping available at West Village Lodge, with additional nearby camping in Bend and Deschutes National Forest.

The event operates under a Special Use Permit from the Deschutes National Forest Service and lists community and trail organizations among its beneficiaries and partners. Organizers state that a portion of race proceeds will be donated to support a local artist and trail runner for ongoing medical expenses. The event acknowledges that it takes place on lands historically tied to the Tenino, Wasco, Warm Springs, and Northern Paiute peoples.
