Event Overview

The Baby Shippey event is a trail running race held on June 7, 2026, at the Beaumont Reservation in High Ridge, Missouri. It offers two distances: a Half Marathon and a 10K. The event is described as a "no frills, CUPLESS event" designed to be a challenging test on rugged terrain.

Course Details

The courses use trails on a scouting property. The Half Marathon is approximately 13.05 miles with about 2,390 feet of climbing. The 10K is approximately 6 miles with just over 1,100 feet of climbing. Runners will encounter rugged trails featuring large rocks and boulders, rough off-camber sections, primitive trail, steep gravel switchbacks, and powerline sections. The routes include jeep roads, ATV paths, steep ascents, and descents. The Half Marathon course has aid stations at approximately mile 3 and mile 8.2. The 10K course has an aid station at mile 3.

Race Day Schedule

Packet pickup is at the Cub World Building from 6:45 AM. The Half Marathon starts at 8:00 AM, and the 10K starts at 9:00 AM. There is a course cutoff time of 12:00 PM for both distances. All runners must be past the first aid station (3 miles) by 10:15 AM. Half Marathon runners must be past the mile 8.2 aid station by 10:45 AM.

Additional Information

A post-race party with food and ice cream will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cub World Building. All registered runners will receive a custom Baby Shippey item.
