Aut2Run for Autism : April 26, 2026 at California State University Channel Islands
Aut2Run for Autism is an in-person and virtual running event held at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA. The 2026 edition marks the event's 14th anniversary and directs 100% of proceeds to Autism Society Ventura County to support local programs, education, advocacy, and public awareness.
The event features multiple distances:
- 15K Hero Run (combined 10K and 5K, 9.3 miles)
- 10K Trail Race (half road, half trail)
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- Fun-K for children under 12 and adults with special needs, limited to 300 participants
- Virtual Run/Walk
The 10K course has a published course time limit that requires completion within 75 minutes; participants who do not meet intermediate course cutoffs may be recorded as DNF. The 15K result combines times from the separate 10K and 5K events.
Virtual participants are asked to choose a safe local route, obey traffic laws and crossings, keep at least 6 feet from others not in their household, and track distance with GPS. Virtual results are self-reported and submitted online during the specified submission window.
Race packets, which include bibs, a t-shirt, and a goodie bag, are mailed to virtual registrants the week of the race and are available for pick up at the CSUCI South Quad on the weekend of the event. All registered finishers receive a finisher medal and a soft event t-shirt; limited extra apparel and items may be available for purchase.
