Austin Spartan Event Weekend, May 16 and 17, 2026

The event takes place at Reveille Peak Ranch near Burnet, Texas. The venue offers over 62 miles of varied terrain that the courses use, including fields of wildflowers and cacti, dry creek beds, exposed granite and rolling hills typical of the Texas Hill Country.

Races include multiple formats and distances with obstacles placed along natural trails and rock features. The Sprint and Super courses list obstacle counts and average race characteristics for participants on site. The weekend also includes a Spartan Trail Race and separate formats for youth and endurance entries.

Trail races at Krause Springs on May 2, 2026, from 5k up to 50k plus a youth run, with two aid stations, medals for finishers, awards by gun time, and a cupless policy requiring personal hydration.

Experience a unique night time trail race at Texas only lift served bike park in Burnet. Choose from various timed challenges or fixed distances including rucking and youth events under the stars.

A 10K trail race at Reveille Peak Ranch on May 17, 2026, featuring winding, technical singletrack through central Texas terrain with narrow trails, slickrock and cactus; held within a Spartan OCR festival weekend.

Austins Backyard Marathon on May 23, 2026 in Central Texas uses a last person standing format of repeated 4.167 mile (6.7 km) loops. Medals are given for completing at least one loop and for half marathon, marathon and ultra distances.
