Austin Rattler Run

The Austin Rattler Run takes place at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas. The event features a course consisting of singletrack trails and fire roads through the Texas Hill Country, navigating a landscape characterized by lakes and rolling hills. Participants can choose from three distinct distances:

  • 50 km
  • 20 miles
  • 10 miles

The event serves as a qualifier for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 Run. To be eligible for the qualification lottery or performance-based coins, participants must complete the 50 km distance within the designated four-hour cutoff time. At least 35 qualifier coins are available, distributed among top performers in various age categories and through an event lottery held during the awards ceremony.

The venue provides several amenities for participants, including a neutral bag drop area located at the start and finish line aid station. Aid stations are positioned every 10 miles and provide water, hydration mixes, gels, and various snacks such as waffles, fruit bars, and pretzels. While the 20 mile and 50 km runners pass the aid station during their laps, those in the 10 mile distance do not have access to an aid station on the course.

Post-race activities at the ranch include live music, Texas-style BBQ, and dedicated races for children. Camping is also available on-site at Reveille Peak Ranch. Parking is free during specific morning and afternoon windows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a fee applied outside of those times.
