Austin Memorial Day Remembrance Run - Marble Falls, TX
The Memorial Day Remembrance Run is organized to honor the fallen through movement. Participants may run, ruck, or walk in memory of someone, and a brief moment of silence and reflection is scheduled at the start line to mark the event's purpose.
Location and logistics: the event takes place at Turkey Bend Recreation Area, 4000 Shaw Dr., Marble Falls, TX. On-site parking is available within the recreation area and participants should follow the directions of Fit Foundation staff upon entry. The course will be clearly marked with high-visibility ribbons and directional signs.
Course and support: routes follow rugged, natural-surface trails that include limestone, cedar roots, and rolling Hill Country terrain. Basic hydration and water are provided at the start/finish area; this is a cup-less event to protect the park.
Entry requirements and conduct: a valid photo ID is requested at check-in and any unsigned waivers must be completed at the check-in desk. Participants are asked to respect Leave No Trace principles and to dispose of trash in designated bins or pack it out.
What to bring and wear: trail running shoes with good grip are recommended. Participants are encouraged to carry a reusable handheld bottle or hydration vest, wear moisture-wicking clothing, and consider sun protection. A change of clothes and a chair are suggested for post-event rest by the river.
