Course and logistics

The course consists of six loops on the white trails, with the start and finish at the Group Shelter. The route is all trail, includes a few hills, and can be technical in places with roots, rocks, and boulders. The course will be marked with bright tape and flags. Poles are allowed. Runners must start the final loop by 3:00 PM.

Parking is in the Group Shelter lot or adjacent areas; a $5 state park parking fee is collected on arrival or an annual Georgia state park pass may be used. A crockpot chili contest serves as the post-race food: participants are asked to bring chili in a crockpot, and GUTS will provide bowls, utensils, and some toppings; runners receive ballots to vote for their favorite. Hot food will also be available at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
