Atlanta Fat Ass is an annual post-holiday trail running event held at Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs, GA. The event has been organized since 1994 and is presented as a low-key, social run for GUTS members.

The course is six loops on the park's white trails. The route is all trail with a few hills. The start and finish area is at the Group Shelter. Hot food is available at the finish. A crockpot chili contest takes place at the finish area; participants bring chili in crockpots, GUTS supplies bowls, utensils and toppings, and runners vote for a favorite entry.
Registration is free for GUTS members only. Parking is in the Group Shelter lot or adjacent parking area; participants should follow signs and volunteer directions. There is a state park parking fee of $10 (rate effective 1/1/26) or an annual Georgia State Park pass may be used; the fee is collected after arrival.
There is a cutoff for starting the final loop. Packet pickup is handled at the group shelter on race morning. Typical January weather averages are an average high near 51°F and an average low near 35°F, though conditions have ranged from cold and snowy to warm and sunny in past years.
