Event Overview

The Ashington 10K Trail Run is a trail running event located in Ashington, Northumberland, approximately 15 miles north of Newcastle and three miles from the coastline. The course takes place across a variety of terrains including woodland trails, paths alongside a lake, and open grassland.

Course Details

The route begins within the Ashington Community Woods and extends into the QEII Country Park. This 10 km circuit is described as being relatively flat, offering views of the local scenery and natural landscapes.

The event is organized by VO2 Max Events and utilizes live chip timing provided by Results Base. The course is fully marked and monitored by marshals to assist participants. Those who complete the event receive a finisher's medal, finish line merchandise, and a snack. Online results and event photography are also provided following the run.

Participation

This event is open to individual runners and is also designated as Canicross friendly. Participants are permitted to run with one well controlled dog.
