Course and logistics
The course is primarily smooth, runnable singletrack with a few rollers and rocky sections. There is one remote aid station (San Tan Aid) passed each loop; the main aid station is stocked with water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups and hot food options. Crews are allowed at the start/finish area. Pacers are permitted for 54K runners beginning on loop 5 (36K); pacers are not allowed in the shorter races. Drop bags are provided at the start/finish.
Time limits are listed per distance (for example, the 54K has a 10-hour limit). The park charges a $7 entry fee per vehicle. Pets are not allowed on-course and must be leashed at the event; camping is not permitted. The event is cupless; runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on-site. Registration closes April 20, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
