Sinister Night Runs : San Tan Mountain Regional Park

Sinister Night Runs takes place on April 25, 2026, at San Tan Mountain Regional Park in Queen Creek, Arizona. The event is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series and offers multiple loop-distance options on a roughly 9 kilometer loop that uses the San Tan, Hedgehog and Littleleaf Trails.

All distances run counter-clockwise on the same loop. The course is primarily smooth and runnable with a few rollers and rocky sections. A remote aid station called San Tan Aid is on the loop and will be stocked with water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food such as quesadillas and grilled cheese. Races are chip timed and include live split tracking.

Crew access and drop bag areas are located at the start/finish. Pacers are permitted for the 54K only beginning on loop five. The 54K division has a 10 hour time limit; other distances have shorter time limits. Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. The event enforces park rules: a park entry fee applies per vehicle, pets are not allowed on course, and camping is not permitted. The event is cupless, so runners should bring their own cup or purchase one on site.

  • 27K three 9 km loops
