The Blackout Night Runs take place Friday, June 19, 2026, at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. The event offers the following distances:

The 27K is staged as two full loops, the 13K is one full loop, and the 6K is a shortened Soldiers Trail loop. The course maximum elevation is listed at 7,137 feet and the 27K total elevation gain is 1,293 feet.

Course and logistics

Courses run through ponderosa pines and include narrow single-track and wider forest paths, with sections that top out on a mesa and return into the trees. Aid stations are placed roughly every 4.0 to 4.4 miles and provide water, electrolyte drink (Gnarly Fuel-2O), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; runners are advised to carry at least one bottle of water. Crews are allowed only at the start/finish area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish and available on each loop. There is an overall race cutoff at 12 AM.

Additional onsite offerings include limited tent-only group camping permits, a nearby Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course with a 25% pass discount for registrants, live split tracking, chip timing, a custom finisher medal, and volunteer opportunities with race credits or swag.
