The Angry Cow Trail Run #1 takes place on February 21, 2026, at Wagon Train Lake Area 1 in Hickman, NE 68372. The start and finish are at the old beach parking lot on the north side off the main park road (S110th). The course lies north of the beach parking lot. Snowshoes are allowed if there is adequate snow. Park permits are required and are available in the park. This event is the first race in the Angry Cow Series for 2026. Registration closes February 6, 2026. Entry fees listed by distance are: 3 mile $25, 6 mile $35, 12 mile $45, 40K $55. Fees include shirts, snacks, drinks, and awards.

Rucking is offered for this edition. Participants who plan to ruck should register for the chosen distance online and check in early on race day. There will be a cutoff time for the longest distance.
