Angela Ivory Memorial Runs
Angela Ivory Memorial Runs is scheduled for January 9–10, 2027 at Killen's Pond State Park in Felton, DE. The event offers three options: 100 Miler, 50K, and a 24 hour race, each limited to 40 entrants.
The course is a roughly 3.10 mile loop entirely inside the park, mostly dirt with a short paved parking-lot loop and an aluminum footbridge. Terrain includes broad dirt sections, single-track with some roots, occasional rocks and rubble, and about 80 feet of climb per loop. The course is described as low on technical difficulty and suitable for light trail shoes for most runners.
Event format is informal. Races are held in a "Fat Ass" style: self-supported with a community table for shared food and drink, no guaranteed aid, no race shirts, and no chip timing. 50K runners mark their own laps; 24 hour and 100 miler entrants have an official lap counter. The 24 hour and 100 miler area includes a covered pavilion and tent space; heated restrooms are available in the parking area. Porta-john presence on the trail is not guaranteed.
Logistics notes: parking is ample and free in winter months and is adjacent to the course for easy crewing. The park has no garbage cans so participants must pack out trash. The event runs rain or shine except if park closure for snow occurs.
Time cutoffs: 50K none; 24 hour limit 24 hours; 100 miler limit 31.5 hours with possible extensions for trail conditions.
Entry fees: 50K $20 (total $23.50); 24 hour and 100 miler $50 (total $53.50). No refunds, no waitlist, and no transfers or deferrals. Any surplus funds after park fees are donated to the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
