Angela Ivory Memorial Runs : Killen's Pond State Park
The Angela Ivory Memorial Runs take place at Killen's Pond State Park in Felton, DE on January 9 to 10, 2027. The event offers three distance options and uses a loop course located entirely within the park.
- 100 Miler - 31.5 hour limit; official lap counting; buckle for finishers.
- 24 Hour - 24 hour limit; official lap counting; pavilion and tent area available.
- 50K - no time limit; runners mark their own laps; self-supported.
Course details: the loop is about 3.10 miles, mostly dirt, with a low total climb per loop (around 80 feet) and minimal technical difficulty. Surfaces include broad dirt (sand and organics), single track with some roots, a short parking-lot loop of about 0.28 miles, and an aluminum footbridge of roughly 0.2 miles. Most runners wear light trail shoes; highly technical trail shoes are not required.
Facilities and support: the 24 hour and 100 miler area includes a covered pavilion, space for tents, and heated restrooms in the parking area. Portable toilets may or may not be present. Races are run in a self-supported "Fat Ass" style: no guaranteed aid, no shirts, and no chip timing; a community table is provided for shared food and drink.
Entry and policies: each distance is capped at 40 entrants. There is no waitlist, no transfers, and no refunds for any reason. The event runs rain or shine except if the park is closed for snow.
