Event overview

The Race4Warriors Challenges take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Lewes, Delaware. The event supports Wounded Warriors and homeless veterans and aims to connect military and civilian communities. Races start and finish at American Legion Post 17 and run through Cape Henlopen State Park, the historic Fort Miles area, and Rehoboth Beach. All three course distances are USATF certified.

  • Half Marathon - Run, Race-walk, Heavy March (15 lb pack)

The event combines three components: competition, education, and a celebration at the finish area. A Middle East historical exhibit will be available as an educational feature. A Celebration of Warriors will include local vendors and live music. Packet pickup is available the day before at American Legion Post 17 and also on race day near the starting area. Participants who pre-register by May 3, 2026 are guaranteed an event t-shirt at check-in. All finishers receive a race medallion. The event proceeds in all but unsafe weather conditions. Angela Ivory Memorial Trail Races at Killens Pond State Park on Jan 24 and 25 offer ultra distances including 50k, 100 mile and 24 hour events. The 50k is full with no wait list; enter another distance and drop in on race day if spots open.
