Race4Warriors Half Marathon

Event overview

The Race4Warriors event takes place on May 9, 2026 in Lewes, Delaware at American Legion Post 17 (113 American Legion Road). The event includes three distance challenges: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. Each distance offers three entry types: a Run, a Race-Walk (March), and a Heavy March, which is a trail race with a 15 lb pack. All three race distances are USATF certified. All races start and finish at the same location.

Race features and logistics

The courses travel through Cape Henlopen State Park and the historic Fort Miles, and include trails and beach areas. The event has three program components: Competition, Education, and Celebration. A Middle East historical exhibit will be available on site, and local vendors and live bands will be present during the post-race celebration. Participants who pre-register by May 3, 2026 are guaranteed an event t-shirt at check-in. Every finisher will receive a race medallion. Packet pickup is scheduled at American Legion Post 17 on Friday, May 8 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a live band during that time; day-of packet pickup is available near the starting area beginning at 7:00 am.
