Alum Creek Trail Race
The Alum Creek Trail Race takes place at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. The event is held at the Alum Creek State Park Marina and utilizes the natural landscape of the area. Participants run through a terrain that features local geological elements, including cliffs of Ohio shale exposed by Alum Creek and other nearby streams.
The course route follows sections of Ohio's largest inland beach. This location provides a contrast to the surrounding farmlands, offering a variety of natural features within the park. The event is conducted under a special use authorization from Alum Creek State Park.
Available distances and race formats include:
- 13.1 Miles: A half marathon trail race.
- 10K: A trail race covering 10 kilometers.
- 5K: A trail race covering 5 kilometers.
- 20K Relay: Four 5K loops for teams of two to four participants.
- 6 Hours of Power: A timed trail event.
