Arch City XC Festival

The Arch City XC Festival is a community running event on July 25, 2026, held at Westerville North High School, 950 County Line Rd, Westerville, OH 43081. The event is organized by Columbus Running Company and Nike and features separate races for elementary, middle, and high school students plus an open race for adults.

Distances included:

  • Open 2-Mile (Adults and High School Grades 9-12)
  • Middle School 2-Mile (Grades 7-8)
  • Elementary School 2-Mile (Grades K-6)

Races run with combined genders and finish inside the stadium, where spectators can view from the stands. Middle school and high school competitors may form teams of three to be eligible for team scoring. Random apparel prizes will be awarded to three members of two different teams entered in the middle school and high school races.

Registration details are set by the organizers. The fee for each listed race is $5.00. Registration closes July 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM and there will be no race day registration. Entrants in school races should register for the grade they will enter in the upcoming fall.

Timed loop running options of 30 or 60 minutes plus a 0.25-mile Kids Dash at Leeds Farm in Ostrander on May 15, 2026. Hosted by the BVW PTO, proceeds support Buckeye Valley West school programs.

A series of three free community trail runs in Franklin County Metro Parks on May 21, May 30 and June 3, 2026. Events feature Hoka trail shoe demos, raffles, food and music, and attending all three earns a badge and entry for Hoka shoes.

Experience a trail race along the largest inland beach in Ohio at Alum Creek State Park. Choose from distances ranging from 5K to a half marathon or join a relay team to run through scenic shale cliffs.

Trail runs at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park offering 5k and 10k distances and supporting FLIP's cancer prevention work. The 5k is relatively flat and family friendly while the 10k finishes with a stair climb noted by local runners.
