Hoppy Easter is a road/trail running event held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Griffith Park Playground in Los Angeles. Distances offered are:

Course and logistics

The course starts and finishes on a grass area and follows a hard-packed dirt horse trail with a brief street crossing. It is an open, shared trail; runners should stay to the right and pass on the left. Specific course formats:

  • 5k as an out-and-back route
  • 10k as two 5k loops
  • 15k as three 5k loops
  • Half marathon as three 4.36-mile loops

An aid station at the turnaround/start-finish area provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Parking is available in the large lot near the Merry Go Round/Shane's Inspiration playground area. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit; an early start can be requested if more time is needed.
