The creator of the Swiss Alps 100 is bringing a new race to Southern California. The SoCal Redwood Race takes place at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, California, at 4442 Carbon Canyon Rd, Brea, CA 92823, on April 25, 2026.
The event uses a timed format in which participants run as far as they can within their chosen time division.
- 3 Hours: run through the redwood grove and surrounding trails
- 6 Hours: extended trail time on the same loop
- 12 Hours: continuous timed effort on the loop
Each division uses a 2 mile loop course through the park’s redwood grove and adjacent trails. The course is described as flat and shaded; 0.5 miles of each 2 mile loop are on pavement.
Amenities include a fully stocked aid station with drinks and snacks, professional timing with real-time results, and a finisher medal and t-shirt for all participants. Field size is limited to a maximum of 150 runners to preserve the quiet, intimate setting of the venue. Registration for the event closes on Wed, Apr 15 at 11:59PM PT.
