A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra

A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra is a 10 hour overnight trail event in Acadiana Park, Lafayette, Louisiana on August 1, 2026. The event uses a repeated loop of 3.8 mile laps that include single-track trail, sections of gravel road, and wooden boardwalks. The course will be marked with reflective tape.

There is one full aid station on the lap that runners pass twice each circuit. The event is cupless; each runner receives a reusable cup at registration and is required to carry a light source and a personal hydration solution on every lap. Runners may complete as many laps as they choose within the 10 hour period. Loops count toward total mileage only when completed within the event time window.

Logistics noted by the organizer include packet pick up at the race start, a pre-race meeting that all runners should attend, and parking at the Acadiana Park parking lot. Registered entrants receive a shirt and other items; finishers who complete at least five laps receive an award. Podium awards will be given to the top three female and top three male finishers.

Camping is available at the Acadiana Park campground. Downtown Lafayette is nearby and offers dining and lodging options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
