A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra

A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra is a 10-hour overnight trail running event held in Lafayette, Louisiana, at Acadiana Park (1205 East Alexander Street). The event uses a short loop of 3.8 miles that combines single-track trail, some gravel road, and wooden boardwalk sections. The course is marked with reflective tape.

There is a single, well-stocked aid station on the loop that runners pass twice each lap. The event is cupless; runners receive a reusable cup with registration and are required to carry a personal light source and a hydration solution for every loop. Volunteers staff the aid station.

Packet pick-up is available at the race start. A pre-race meeting that all runners must attend will be held before the run. Registered entrants receive a shirt and other items; finishers who complete at least five laps receive an award. Additional awards are given to the top three women and top three men.

The venue includes a campground at Acadiana Park. Downtown Lafayette is nearby and provides lodging, dining, and entertainment options for visitors. Registration closes on July 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
