A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra

This is a 10 hour overnight trail endurance event held in Lafayette, Louisiana at 1205 East Alexander Street. The event uses a repeated 3.8 mile lap and runs through wooded swamp terrain during a summer night, so heat and humidity are expected.

The lap combines single track trail, some gravel road and wooden boardwalks. The course will be marked with reflective tape. A single, full aid station is placed so runners pass it twice each lap. The event is cupless; runners should carry their own cup.

Race procedures require each runner to carry a light source and a personal hydration solution for every loop. Full laps count toward overall mileage and separate awards are given to finishers who complete a minimum number of laps. Podium awards recognize the top three female and top three male finishers. Each entrant receives a shirt, a reusable cup and additional items in the participant packet; registering by July 1 ensures a t-shirt.

Camping is available at the Acadiana Park campground and there are multiple lodging options in Lafayette. Runners should take care on the course where exposed roots and mosquitoes are present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
