A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra : August 1, 2026
A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra is a 10 hour overnight endurance run held in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. The event takes place on a short lap course near Carencro, LA and is described as a night trail run through low-elevation, humid terrain.
The course includes single track trail, some gravel road, and open field sections. The route will be marked with reflective tape. The event text notes natural trail hazards such as roots and mosquitoes. Runners are required to carry a personal light source and a hydration solution for every loop. This is a cupless race so runners should bring their own cup.
There is a single well stocked aid station that participants will pass each lap and which will be staffed by volunteers. Runners may complete as many laps as they wish during the 10 hour period; laps must be completed before the event ends to count toward overall mileage.
Logistics mention packet pick up at the race start location and a mandatory pre-race meeting. Registrants who register by July 1 are eligible to receive a t-shirt. Each entrant receives a shirt, a reusable cup, and additional items. Finishers who complete at least five laps receive an award and the top three male and top three female finishers receive podium awards.
