Set along the Munda Biddi Trail in Western Australia, the 6 Inch Trail Marathon offers a 46km marathon from North Dandalup to Dwellingup (and a 23.3km half marathon) on a forest trail south of Perth. Runners traverse rugged singletrack with about 925m of ascent and 775m of descent in the marathon. The course is marked with fluorescent tape, with aid at two checkpoints at 23km and 34km. The event is non-pacing, with compulsory gear checks and a single drop bag allowed. Transport to the start and from the finish is available; prize giving follows at the finish.
