Course and history

The race name refers to the Waterous Trail, south of Dwellingup. The inaugural race was held on 28 September 2013. The original course plan shifted to run predominantly on the Munda Biddi trail between Jarrahdale and Dwellingup after a prescribed burn affected the intended area. Race headquarters moved from Dwellingup to Nanga Bush Camp (about 10 minutes south of Dwellingup) in 2019. The course format changed from two out-and-back legs in 2019 to three out-and-back legs in 2021. A 50 km race distance was added in 2022.
