WTF 50 & 100 Miler

WTF is a trail running event in Western Australia that grew from an inaugural race held on 28 September 2013. It is noted as the first 100 mile trail race in the state. The event takes place on trails around Dwellingup and on sections of the Munda Biddi trail between Jarrahdale and Dwellingup. The Waterous Trail name explains the event acronym Waterous Trail on Foot, though early plans shifted the course onto the Munda Biddi trail due to a prescribed burn near the original site.

The event is scheduled on the King's Birthday long weekend in September and is listed for Saturday 26 September 2026. The event will not run in 2025 but is planned to return in 2026.

Course and format have evolved over time. Race headquarters moved to Nanga Bush Camp, around 10 minutes south of Dwellingup, and the course layout has used out-and-back legs. In 2019 the race used two out-and-back legs, and by 2021 it used three out-and-back legs. A new 50 km distance was added in 2022.

Distances include:

  • 100 mile
  • 50 mile
  • 50 km

Solo and relay options share parts of the trail, with multiple legs arranged so participants share sections on the first leg. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
