Format and logistics

The event follows the Backyard Ultra format and rules. Each loop is 4.1667 miles (4 miles 880 feet / 6.7056 km). Runners must complete each loop within one hour; each loop starts at the top of the hour and the process repeats until only one runner completes a loop more than all others. Key rules include no late starts, no leaving the course during a loop except for restrooms, no personal aid during a loop (common aid stations are allowed), no artificial aids, and slower runners must allow passes. An aid station will be located near the start-finish and will be passed on every lap; aid station food and limited concession items will be available. The start-finish area and much of the course will be lit; field lights will be used and runners planning night running are advised to carry a headlamp or flashlight. There are no refunds, but bib transfers are allowed until November 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
