Race Information

The Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs take place at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Missouri's largest state park, in Kaiser, Missouri. The event offers three distinct races.

Available Distances

  • Wandering Bobcat 5 Miler: A trail run of approximately 5.5 miles with over 700 feet of elevation gain. The course offers lake views and takes runners near historic Highway 134.
  • Trail of Four Winds 25K: A 25K trail run with over 1600 feet of elevation gain. The course passes by lake views, rock outcrops, and seasonal streams, featuring a mix of single track and wider trails.
  • LOZ Traverse: A 35-mile multi-sport event involving 32 miles of running and 3 miles of paddling across the lake. Participants must provide their own kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard and a Coast Guard-approved life jacket.

All races start and finish at Public Beach #1 within the state park. The site includes amenities like a marina store, public beaches, and nearby camping.

Event Features

A post-race celebration, called TrailFest, features food, drink, music, awards, and vendors. Awards are presented for overall male and female finishers (top three) in each race and must be collected in person. General registration includes entry, at least one swag item, a finisher award, a post-race beverage ticket, and access to live music and vendors. A post-race meal is available for purchase. Registration does not guarantee swag or awards if completed within three weeks of the event.

Aid stations are located along the courses for all races, with a drop bag location available only for the LOZ Traverse at the start/finish area. Race-day packet pickup is available from 6 AM onwards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
