Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs - May 1, 2027
Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs is a multi-race event held at Lake of the Ozarks State Park in Kaiser, Missouri, organized by Ha Ha Racing Events. The event comprises four separate races that share the same start and finish area at Public Beach Number 1 and use trails and lakeshore terrain within the park.
Distances and formats include:
- LOZ Traverse: ~32 miles running, 3 miles paddling
- LOZ Traverse Short Course: 16 miles running, 3 miles paddling
- Trail of Four Winds 25K: heavy trail, 1600+ feet elevation gain
- Wandering Bobcat 5M: closer to 5.5 miles, ~700+ feet elevation gain
Trail descriptions note single track, double track, rock outcrops, overlooks, seasonal streams, roots, loose rock, steep grades of 10 percent or more, and creek crossings. The LOZ Traverse combines the Four Winds trail with two paddle legs across the lake; competitors must provide their own kayak, canoe, or stand up paddle board and must wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket. Only one person per boat is allowed. Dogs are not permitted to accompany competitors on course.
Aid stations are placed at multiple points on the courses and drop bags for the LOZ Traverse are located at the start/finish area. Packet pickup is available on race day only. Awards include finisher awards and overall male and female awards for top finishers; recipients must be present. Photographs will be taken and posted at no charge. Ha Ha Racing Events does not issue refunds. The organizer supports a matched donation program for Magic Dragon Trails, matching donations dollar for dollar up to $2500.
