Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs
One event at Lake of the Ozarks State Park in Kaiser, MO, offers four distinct races that combine trail running and paddling around the park and lake.
Races:
- LOZ Traverse : 32 miles running and 3 miles paddling.
- LOZ Traverse: Short Course : 16 miles running and 3 miles paddling.
- Trail of Four Winds 25K : 25K trail race with over 1600 feet elevation gain.
- Wandering Bobcat 5 Miler : a heavy trail distance near 5.5 miles with about 700 feet elevation gain.
LOZ Traverse details note that it is not a team event; only one person per boat. Competitors must provide their own kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddle boards and must wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket. Dogs are not allowed to accompany competitors on any course.
Aid stations and drop bag logistics are published for each race, with multiple aid locations listed for the Traverse on the Honey Run side. Packet pickup is available on race day. Awards include finisher awards and overall top-three male and female awards for each race; recipients must be present to accept awards. Photographs will be taken and posted at no charge.
