24hr Prevail Run - Yarm

The 24hr Prevail Run - Yarm is an endurance loop event on private farmland just outside Yarm at Butts Lane, Egglescliffe Village, Yarm TS16 9DA. The course is 100% trail and follows rolling fields and tracks that skirt the River Tees. Runners can expect natural terrain, including mud, roots, ruts, and sections that are more technical as well as runnable.

The format requires participants to complete one lap of 6.7 km every hour for 24 hours. Each lap must be finished within the hour; any runner who misses a lap, finishes late, withdraws, or is medically pulled is removed from the event. Remaining time between laps may be used for rest and recovery. The stated goal is to complete all 24 laps or to cover as many laps as a runner can.

The event is organised to support the Everymancan mental health charity. The organisers describe each lap as a symbol of showing up, taking things one hour at a time, leaning on community, and building resilience. The atmosphere is presented as community focused, with regular encouragement, headtorches during night sections, and a shared purpose among participants.

Mandatory kit includes trail shoes, a phone, a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, a headtorch for night running, a whistle, and a foil blanket. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
