2 Dam Fun

The event is a point-to-point running, walking and biking event that follows The Edge Pathway from the north side of Hardy Dam to Croton Dam, finishing in DuChemin Park in Newaygo (5439 Washington St.). The route is about 7.2 Miles long and is described as taking roughly 2.5 hours to walk or about 30 minutes to bike.

Bikers drop their bikes at the Hardy Dam Trailhead on the north side of Hardy Dam, then drive to DuChemin Park to park and register. After registration at the DuChemin Park pavilion, bicyclists are shuttled back to the bike drop to begin. Runners and walkers proceed to DuChemin Park to park, register and board shuttles to the start at the Hardy Dam Trailhead. All participants finish at DuChemin Park where vehicles are parked.

At registration, organizers confirm registration, payment and waiver signature and issue a race bib plus a drink tab and a food tab for use after the event. Post-event provisions include awards, music, snacks and cold beverages. Each participant receives a 2 Dam Fun T-shirt. Costume trophies are awarded for best individual female, best individual male and best group theme costume.

A Last Runner Standing endurance race on a one mile loop at Two Hats Ranch near Big Rapids, MI. The course features 150 feet of elevation gain, woodsy trail sections and a sandy downhill; the field is limited to 100 runners.

A July 4, 2026 trail running event featuring a ten mile course with varied terrain and named obstacles, plus a shorter Wimpy fun run where all finishers receive a shirt and award.
