Yeti Half
The Yeti Half is a trail half marathon held at Bluhm County Park, 3855 S 1100 W, Westville, IN, on February 27, 2027. The course is composed of four loops around the park, each loop measuring 3.4 miles. Organizers use manual timing and record laps when runners enter the start and finish area, so runners are asked to wear their bib on the front of their shirt.
Course marking will use flags, arrow signs and survey tape on trees. As of August 11, 2026 the dirt trails were closed due to a storm; organizers will decide before race day how much trail will be available. Runners will use multi-use trails located west of the shelter. There is a 4 hour 30 minute cut off for the race.
One aid station will be located at the shelter and will offer water, Gatorade and prepackaged snacks. There is no aid on the course, but runners will pass the shelter, parking and restrooms each loop. A picnic table will be available for runners who wish to leave personal aid items for each loop.
Registered participants receive a limited-edition long sleeve cotton shirt and a winter hat and gloves one-size-fits-all; shirt quantities are limited. There is no awards ceremony. Overall winners receive a Yeti figure and a Starbucks gift card. All finishers may choose an item from a prize table that includes old race shirts, mugs and hats.
The event is part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which focuses on non-pavement and mixed-surface races in Northwest Indiana and acknowledges the indigenous nations who stewarded the land used for these events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
