Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run : Red Mill County Park
The event is a trail run held on March 7, 2027 at Red Mill County Park in La Porte, Indiana. The race distance is 15k, completed by running four loops of a marked course. The route is marked with flags and signs and participants are asked to follow the course markings rather than other runners.
Race day sign-ups, packet pick-up, and restrooms are located in the Smith Banquet building; entry to that building is at the north entrance. Timing uses a manual system: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick that must be turned in at the packet building to receive any medal awards. There is no formal awards ceremony; overall and age-group medals are distributed when the numbered stick is returned.
The event has a cereal theme and provides various breakfast cereals after the run, with 2% milk, almond milk, and non-dairy milk available. Deathwish Coffee will be brewing. Limited-edition short sleeve shirts are provided while supplies last; if shirts sell out, participants will receive a winter hat and gloves instead. Merchandise from other races will be offered for sale for $5, including t-shirts, hats, and coffee cups.
The race is part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which organizes pavement and non-pavement races in northwest Indiana and states that events are held in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series affirms inclusive registration practices for transgender participants and includes a land acknowledgement for the Miami, Shawnee, Illinois Nations, and the Lenape.
