Foot Pursuit 5K Trail Race
The Foot Pursuit 5K is a 3.1 Mile all-trail run and walk at Sunset Hill County Park in Valparaiso, Indiana, held on March 6, 2027. The course runs through wooded terrain with rolling hills and may include variable weather conditions. A single water station is provided on course and a digital clock is installed at the finish.
Registration is time-based with fees that vary by date and option: a no-shirt option for $25, early registration for $30, and $35 for later online registration or day-of entry. T-shirts are guaranteed for competitors registered before February 22; shirts after that date are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A $2 discount applies for XYZ participants.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups for male and female competitors are: 0-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
An additional Police, Fire and Criminal Justice Challenge combines the finishing places of the top three runners from each eligible department or program; the lowest combined place total determines the winning department and a traveling trophy is awarded.
