Tombstone 30k/50k/50 mile: Sunset Hill Farm County Park
The Tombstone races take place at Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso, IN on March 13, 2027. The event offers three trail distances and is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which develops and manages non-pavement and pavement races in northwest Indiana.
All distances share a 16 hour finish window with a single aid station located at the start and finish area. The course includes the named "Roller Coaster" hills and is held in a park setting. Each entrant receives a limited edition t-shirt, winter hat or gloves, and a cowboy hat. Finish items differ by distance: 30k finishers receive a hand-made wooden medal, while 50k and 50 mile finishers receive belt buckles.
The series states a low-key race atmosphere and that events are held in parks or areas across Lake, Porter, and Laporte counties. The organizer expresses an inclusive registration policy that allows transgender runners to register under the gender they identify with without documentation.
