About the race
Tombstone 30k/50k/50 mile takes place on March 13, 2027 at Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso, Indiana. The event offers multiple trail distances and is held on park terrain.

All distances allow a 16 hour time limit to finish. The course includes the named "Roller Coaster" hills and features one aid station located at the start/finish area. Races are presented as part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which organizes non pavement and pavement races in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties.
Each participant receives a limited edition t shirt, winter hat or gloves, and a cowboy hat. Finish tokens differ by distance: 30k finishers receive a hand made wooden medal, while 50k and 50 mile finishers receive belt buckles.
The series states an inclusivity policy allowing runners to register under the gender they identify with without documentation. The organizers also include an acknowledgment of the land as territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations and note the historical presence of Lenape (Delaware) people in the area.
