About the race
The event is a 5 mile trail run held on 06 April 2027 with TRA permit number 7044 (TBC). This is the third running of the event and it takes place in the evening at The Black Buoy pub, a five minute walk from both the railway station and the car park.
Route information will be provided to entrants in advance. A route narrative is available for download the week before the race and the full run route will be sent by email. A start list with race number information and the registration process will be emailed to entrants a few days before the event. Race numbers and pins are collected in the pub; bags are left at the owner’s risk.
Participants must wear their race number on the front, unfolded, because manual timing may be used and visible numbers are required for a recorded time. Trail shoes are required. Carrying a mobile phone is mandatory and a head torch is advisable. No under 18s are permitted because the venue is a licensed premises. A tail walker will sweep the course. At the finish, competitors hand their number in behind the bar and may claim a beer, a glass of wine, or a hot or cold soft drink.
Entry fees are £11 until 01 January 2027 and £13 thereafter. A service fee of 4 percent applies to each sign-up with a minimum charge of 50p. Total places are limited to 50. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
