The Chelmsford Brew Co 12k's of Christmas, run & rum
The event is a 12 km social run held on 19 December 2026 with a stated TRA permit number 5935 (TBC). The organiser describes the occasion as a fun event rather than a competition.
Entry includes a drink at a brewery checkpoint and another drink at the Voodoo Keller Bar at the finish, with an option to upgrade the latter to rum plus mixer. Participants also receive a bag of crisps and a Christmas themed medal on finishing. Checkpoint procedures note that a marshal will record arrival at the brewery tap room and issue a beer token; participants may wait until the tail runner arrives before continuing.
Registration takes place inside the Voodoo Keller Bar. The course begins by climbing stairs out of the basement and returns to the bar, which is reached via steps; marshals stop the clock at the finish and hand out medals. Compulsory equipment is a mobile telephone with an ICE contact matching the sign up number. The event is in licensed premises so no under 18s are permitted and no dogs are allowed except for Barny in the rear seating area. Fancy dress is encouraged and the best dressed is awarded free entry to the Chelmsford Brewery 10k in 2027.
Non TRA or England Athletics affiliated club members pay a £2 levy. Entry fees vary by date: £25 to 01 Aug 2025, £27 to 31 Oct 2025, and £29 to 14 Dec 2026.
