Tough Gal Team Challenge : Kumeu, West Auckland
The Tough Gal Team Challenge is a women-only obstacle course held on Sunday 09 August 2026 at Kumeu Showgrounds, Gate 2, Access Rd, Kumeu. Teams comprise three women and the course is an approximately 6 km lap; the organiser equates the fastest times to a flat 6 km cross country standard, so some venues may be shorter in distance but comparable in time.
The course runs across outdoor terrain that can include rugged fields, farmland and natural bushland. Obstacles listed for the event include mud pits, climbing walls and crawling tunnels. Competitors should expect wet and muddy conditions and outdoor surfaces.
Age and equipment rules specify a minimum age of 13 years for the Tough Gal Team Challenge. Covered shoes are compulsory; football or rugby boots with moulded studs are allowed, while running spikes and boots with aluminium studs are not permitted. A dry change of clothing and warm layers are recommended after the event.
Entries are per team; standard online entry fees and late or event-day fees apply. Entries include a personalised race number (if entered in time), a finishers medal, first aid and event support, electronic timing, hot showers and free parking. Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase and official photos will be provided after the event. Podium merit medals are awarded to the first three teams based on gun time.
