About the race
The Tough Gal Team Challenge at Kumeu Showgrounds is a women-only team obstacle event for groups of three. The course is an approximately 6 km lap; distance can vary by venue but organisers equate the fastest competitor’s time to a flat 6 km cross-country equivalent.
The course uses rugged farmland and natural bushland around Kumeu Showgrounds (Gate 2, Access Rd) and features mud pits, climbing walls, crawling tunnels and other obstacles. There are no electrified obstacles. Competitors may skip obstacles but skipped obstacles make a team ineligible for podium placings.
Entry is by team. Published online entry fees are $150 per team (standard), $165 per team (late online), and $180 per team (event day in-person). Personalised race numbers are available if entries are completed three weeks before the event. Entry confirmation is sent by email. Transfers between individuals or between distances are permitted up to 14 days before the event under the stated rules; refunds follow the organiser’s withdrawal policy and administrative fee.
Age minimum for the Tough Gal Team Challenge is 13 years. Every competitor receives a finisher medal, personalised race number, first aid support and electronic timing. Event facilities at Kumeu include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms, covered gathering areas, hot food and coffee for sale, and free parking.
