Riverhead Backyard ReLaps
Riverhead Backyard ReLaps is a multi-format running event held in Riverhead Forest, Auckland, organised in collaboration between Lactic Turkey Events and the Riverhead Rayments. The event includes a Backyard Ultra format and a separate Relay or Solo endurance format.
The Backyard Ultra requires each participant to complete one 6.7 km lap within an hour, then begin the next lap at the next hourly start. Laps continue on the hour until only one person remains able to complete a lap.
The Relay or Solo format is run as a separate event and is open to solo runners or relay teams of 2, 4, or 6 people. Teams or solo runners complete as many laps as possible, continuously, in predefined time windows.

The course passes through a tent city, allowing teams to transition just outside their tents while only one runner is on course at a time. Lactic Turkey Events organises a range of outdoor events aimed at encouraging participation across ages and fitness levels and has worked with local community and youth groups in the past.
