Tillamook Burn Trail Run
The Tillamook Burn Trail Run is a spring weekend of trail racing held May 15 and 16, 2027 in the Tillamook State Forest, staged at historic Reehers Camp. The event features two trail races that use single-track forest trails and stream crossings through second-growth forest with relic snags and charred stumps from the historic Tillamook Burn.
Courses
- 50 mile point-to-point course
- 55K lollipop-style course
The event setting includes large Douglas fir forest, waterfalls, brisk stream crossings and abundant spring foliage. Event staging at Reehers Camp provides parking, chip timing, marked courses, full-service aid stations, professional medical support and radio communications. Registration fees include a post-race meal and beverages, a custom finisher award, professional photography and live finish-line results; race shirts and hats are sold separately. There is a $20 shuttle fee for runners needing transport to the 50 mile start.
Logistics note parking is limited at Reehers Camp: one vehicle per participant, no overnight parking, and RVs or trailers are not allowed. Closest hotels are in Hillsboro and Forest Grove; nearby camping is available at Stub Stewart State Park. Volunteers are used throughout race operations and some camping and parking are reserved for race officials, sponsors and volunteers.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to the NW Trail Alliance and the Tillamook Forest Heritage Trust State Forests Recreation Fund. The event includes a land acknowledgement for the Tillamook, Clatskanie and Atfalati Kalapuya peoples. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
