Crown Stub 100 : Buxton, OR (April 24, 2027)
The event is a 100 mile ultramarathon held from Stub Stewart State Park with an additional Royal Ultra Relay division. The organizer is Bivouac Racing. The course uses a double out-and-back format from the park and runs on multiple trail surfaces.
The route includes the Banks Vernonia Trail (primarily asphalt), the Crown Zellerbach Trail (primarily hard packed gravel), and roughly 10% on park dirt trails. Total elevation gain is over 7,000 ft. Runners travel north on the Banks Vernonia Trail into Vernonia, loop around Vernonia Lake, and continue east on the Crown Z Trail toward Scappoose before retracing the route back to the park.
At about mile 72 the course crosses Stub Stewart Park and continues south on the Banks Vernonia Trail for a 10 mile out-and-back to Banks, returning to the park near mile 92. From there the route follows the Boomscooter Trail to the Hill Top Day Use area at roughly mile 93.5, then includes a final 6.5 mile loop on the Stub Stewart Trail Challenge before the finish. Finishers receive a buckle.
A new Royal Ultra Relay division permits two participants per team plus one support driver or squire. Relay divisions are listed as Princes, Princesses, and Prince and Princess, with awards for creative team themes. Registration opens August 31, 2026.
