About the race
The Helvetia Wine Run is a chip timed 5k held at Helvetia Vineyards & Winery in Hillsboro, Oregon on June 19, 2027. The course runs through vineyard terrain and includes sections of uneven footing, four hills with about 200 feet of elevation change, and areas of rugged ground; trail shoes are advised. The site is a habitat for roughly 30 to 40 elk, so participants should expect natural trail conditions.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib; those minors do not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may attend free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site because the venue is producing agricultural products and USDA rules apply.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each ten year category: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and 80 and over. Awards are distributed on the day of the event and will not be shipped. The event supports the Nik’s Wish charity partner. Packet pick-up is available on race morning only.
