The course on the Pinhoti Trail is almost entirely single-track with a short steep climb known locally as "Mt. Baker". The route includes ridgeline sections and a rock garden. The 100 mile route starts at the Dalton Convention Center, runs out to the Dry Creek Trail system, and returns to the same finish area, creating looped sections that allow crews to meet runners at the same location for extended stretches.

Race logistics note that the Dry Creek system is maintained by SORBA and features fast, runnable single-track through a pine forest. Bus transportation is provided to starting points for the 18, 35, and 50 mile fields, and toilets are available at those start areas. The finish area is arranged to provide seating and food, and beverages are available. The event has a capacity of approximately 450 runners. The organizer does not offer refunds, deferrals, or bib transfers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
