DT Stone Anvil : Chatsworth, GA
DT Stone Anvil is a series of trail races held at Fort Mountain State Park in the Cohutta Mountains near Chatsworth, GA. The event dates are April 21 to April 25, 2027. The course is a folded figure-eight made from an inner (clockwise) loop and an outer (counter-clockwise) loop, with the start/finish area near the main parking area by the lake.
The outer loop is roughly 20 miles with about 5,000 feet of elevation gain per loop. Two taps on the Pinhoti Connector add about 3.4 miles and 1,500 feet of gain when included. The inner loop has about 500 feet of elevation difference between high and low points. Measured vertical gain per loop is roughly 5,500 feet; the 100-mile course records near 25,000 to 27,000 feet of total gain.
Aid and crew access are provided. There are multiple aid points per loop (including full aid stations, a check station with water, and water points). Crew access is allowed at Lakeside, Cool Springs Overlook, and the Start/Finish area. Some trail sections are technical, such as parts of the Gahuti trail, while much of the route follows rolling, double-wide trails and steeper climbs such as the Power Line Climb.
