About the race
The Daydreamer is a trail running event in Patagonia, Arizona held on February 6, 2027. All distances start and finish in the town of Patagonia and send runners onto a mix of rugged singletrack, remote fire roads, and scenic sections of the Arizona Trail.
Course options include:
- 50K point-to-point, 34.8 miles, 3,307 ft gain
- 30K follows the same opening miles, 19.7 miles, 3,307 ft gain
- 10K short, fast course, 6.1 miles, 145 ft gain
The 50K has 5 aid stations (2 full, 3 partial) with key unsupported stretches between miles 3–13 and 17–27; runners who miss the 4 hour 15 minute cutoff at mile 14 are routed to the 30K course. The 30K has 3 aid stations (1 full, 2 partial). The 10K has 1 full aid station. Aid stations supply water, Skratch electrolytes, salty snacks, cookies, chips, and Skratch chews. Hydration systems are required for the 30K and 50K because of long aid gaps.
Medical support, post-race massage stations, and food trucks are available on site. Event amenities noted in the program include a community dinner the night before, live music, handmade mugs included with entry, reduced-waste facilities, and limited spectator access on course. Lodging and camping options are listed locally, and the closest major airport is Tucson International, about a 1.5 hour drive. Limited cell service may be encountered near the course.
