Arizona Monster 300

The Arizona Monster 300 is a 300.5 mile point to point ultramarathon across Southern Arizona's Sonoran Desert. The Sonoran Desert has subtropical warmth in winter and two seasons of rainfall, producing strong contrasts between aridity and moisture and supporting diverse flora and fauna. The route passes through backcountry terrain and high elevation mountains and is described as rugged with varied surface types.

Course details include a route from Patagonia, AZ to Superior, AZ and substantial vertical change. The official figures list 41,162' of elevation gain and 42,463' of elevation loss. Terrain composition is mostly single-track with additional bike path, paved road, and dirt road segments: 259.1 miles (84%) single-track, 34 miles (10%) bike path, 9.5 miles (3%) paved road, and 6 miles (2%) dirt road.
