Stort10 10 Mile
The Stort10 is a long established trail running event held at Cammas Hall Farm in the Essex countryside. The event offers two organised races with marshalled, waymarked routes and chip timing; results are published online and prizes are awarded by gun time.
- 10 miles : two loops of slightly different lengths
- 5 miles : single loop
Both races start together. Water stations are provided at 3 miles, 5 miles and the finish for both races, with an additional water point at 8 miles for 10 mile runners. The course combines farm tracks, field edges, woodland trails and short road sections, with no major inclines; some tracks can be rutted or muddy after rain. Parts of the route cross private land and a working farmyard; runners are asked to follow course markings and marshal instructions and not to recce private sections before race day.
The venue, Cammas Hall Farm, includes a café, bar, farm shop and playground. There is free parking near the race HQ, disabled parking spaces and accessible toilets; however the uneven course means the race is not suitable for wheelchair users. Dogs on leads may spectate near the finish. Entry includes race entry, a premium technical finisher t-shirt and a medal. Entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day. Early-bird and affiliation discounts are offered as published by the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
