Stort10 - 10 mile and 5 mile trail race
Stort10 is a long-established trail race held at Cammas Hall Farm in the Essex countryside. The 2027 event takes place on Sunday 16 May 2027 and is described as one of the best-rated races in the UK. The event is now in its 44th year and is based at a family-run farm with a café, bar, farm shop and playground.
Distances
- 10 miles, two loops of slightly different lengths
- 5 miles, single loop
The route is a mix of farm tracks, footpaths, woodland trails and short sections of road, and is largely flat with no major inclines. Parts of the course cross private land and some stretches run on quiet country roads that remain open to traffic and will be marshalled. The course also crosses a working farmyard; runners must follow the marked route and marshal instructions.
Water stations are located at 3 miles and 5 miles and at the finish for both races, with an additional stop at 8 miles for 10 mile runners. Both races are chip timed and results are published online. Entries include a premium technical finisher t-shirt and a medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and there is a Mixed Club Prize.
Entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day. Transfers and distance changes are allowed before the published transfer deadline; refunds and individual deferrals are not offered. The course is not suitable for wheelchair users; disabled parking and accessible toilets are available. Dogs on leads may spectate at the farm but may not take part in the race.
