Savannah Ultra Urban 50k Run
The Savannah Ultra Urban 50k Run is a self-supported 50 kilometer urban run in Savannah, GA, organized by Run 4 a Reason. The event is free and entry is limited to 25 runners.
The course changes each year to show different parts of the city and includes some busy sections of roadway. Runners are asked to be attentive to their surroundings, use sidewalks when available, and run facing traffic when on roads. The route passes grocery and convenience stores, but participants should carry sufficient fluids and fuel for the full distance.
The event emphasizes group running and pace groups form naturally along the route. Each finisher receives a custom made tile art piece featuring a memorable Savannah token. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
