SCPS Santa Chase
SCPS Santa Chase is a trail running event held on the Savannah Christian Preparatory School campus at 1599 Chatham Parkway, Savannah, GA 31408. The event uses campus trails and natural terrain around the Eckburg Center and other campus areas.
Distances offered:
- 5k Run, 3.1 Miles
- 1 Mile
- Kids Fun Run, 0.25 Miles
The first runner to beat Santa across the 5k finish line receives a prize. The first runner to beat Mrs. Claus in the one mile receives a prize. A costume contest runs alongside the races and holiday costumes are encouraged. Due to the natural terrain, strollers are difficult to navigate on the 5k course but are fine on the 1 mile course.
The kids fun run is for children ages 9 and under. Each child who completes the 1/4 mile receives a medal. Fun run participants may purchase a t-shirt for $10 during registration. T-shirts are included for the 5k and 1 mile entries.
On-site offerings include food vendors, face painting, and other family holiday activities. Entry fees vary by event and date: 5k and 1 mile are $35 before December 12 and $40 after; the fun run is $20 before December 12 and $25 after. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, December 11 from 12pm to 5pm at the Eckburg Building. All proceeds benefit SCPS PTF. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
