Savannah Sultry Swamp Run
The Savannah Sultry Swamp Run is a trail race held on July 24, 2027 at the Savannah Ogeechee Canal, 681 Fort Argyle Rd, Savannah, GA. The event is organized by Run 4 a Reason and offers multiple distance options on the same trail loop.
The course is a technical trail through a historic Georgia swamp. Surfaces include sand, exposed roots, narrow single track, boardwalk sections and palm-covered areas. When wet, sections may become muddy with standing water.
Distances offered include:
- 20K
- 10K
- 5K
Race rules emphasize courteous behavior, leaving no trace, and not disturbing wildlife. Course cutting is not permitted; runners who miss parts of the course must return to complete the missed section before crossing timing mats or face disqualification.
Post-race activities include awards, a waterslide provided by Richmond Hill Bounce and Slide, and adult and kid snow cones. Representatives from the Ogeechee River Keeper will be present to share information. Proceeds from the event support the Savannah Ogeechee Canal museum and trail preservation efforts.
