Savannah Sultry Swamp Run
The Savannah Sultry Swamp Run is scheduled for July 24, 2027 at the Savannah Ogeechee Canal, 681 Fort Argyle Rd, Savannah, GA. The event is organized by Run 4 a Reason and offers multiple trail distances.

The marked course uses a 5K loop on mixed terrain. The trail is technical and includes single track, sandy sections, exposed roots, boardwalk segments and areas with palm growth. If it rains, runners should expect mud and possible standing water. Narrow and sometimes slick boardwalks are part of the route. All finishers receive a drink glass to add to the Rough Runners drinking glass collection.
The organizer notes high heat and humidity typical of coastal Georgia in late July. Wildlife may be present along the route; the event message mentions snakes, alligators, horse flies, fiddler crabs and raccoons. Event rules include kindness, leave no trace, do not disturb wildlife and no course cutting; inadvertent course cutting must be corrected before crossing the timing mat or will result in disqualification.
An afterparty follows the event with awards, a waterslide from Richmond Hill Bounce and Slide, and adult and kid snow cones.
