Savannah Sultry Swamp Run
The Savannah Sultry Swamp Run is a trail event held on July 24, 2027 at the Savannah Ogeechee Canal, 681 Fort Argyle Rd, Savannah, GA 31419. The event is organized by Run 4 a Reason and offers multiple distance options on a technical coastal Georgia trail.
The course uses a 5k loop. Trail surfaces include single track, sand, roots, boardwalk sections, and palm areas. Boardwalks can be narrow and slick at times, and rain can create mud and standing water. Wildlife in the area can include snakes, alligators, horse flies, fiddler crabs, and raccoons. All finishers receive a drink glass to add to the Rough Runners Drinking Glass collection.

Event rules include leaving no trace, not disturbing wildlife, and avoiding course cutting. If a participant misses part of the course, they must return and complete the missed section before crossing the timing mat or risk disqualification. Proceeds from the event support the Savannah Ogeechee Canal museum and trail preservation.
An afterparty follows the race with awards, a waterslide provided by Richmond Hill Bounce and Slide, and both adult and kid snow cones.
