Rim to River 100
The Rim to River 100 is a 100 mile out and back trail race through New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia. The course alternates between winding single track and rail-to-trail sections, descending from the rim of the gorge to the banks of the New River multiple times. Along the route are waterfalls, whitewater, wide views, ghost towns, older cemeteries, and abandoned mine shafts.
The event is organized by Rim to River Endurance Co. and is described as the first and only 100 mile trail race held in West Virginia. A lottery for entry was scheduled for early December 2026 with selected entrants posted later in December 2026. Race participants are allowed 32 hours to complete the course. All finishers within the allotted time receive a custom belt buckle and a finisher mug; runners who finish in under 24 hours receive a sub 24 hour belt buckle.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at ACE Adventure Resort, where a pre-race meeting and drop bag deadline are also scheduled. The organizer offers 100 percent refunds through July 4 and considers deferrals or rollovers individually for certain life events. Proceeds from registrations support Adventure Appalachia, a nonprofit that provides outdoor adventure programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
