The Gristmill Grinder Half Marathon Trail Run
The Gristmill Grinder is an annual spring trail event held within Babcock State Park in West Virginia. The main distance is a half marathon on natural-surface trails that include steep climbs and long, gradual downhill sections. The route passes overlooks of Glade Creek canyon and runs through areas of spring wildflowers and forested scenery. Aid stations are placed along the course and volunteers support on-course operations.
Race-day options include a separate 5K fun run that is not timed and may be walked. Many families pair the half marathon with the 5K as a shorter option for children.
