About the race

The event takes place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford (Greenbury Way, CM2 8FS). Distances offered include:

  • 10k, double lap of the 5k route
  • 5k, single lap across park grass and paths
  • 3k, short route on grass and park paths

The start and finish are on an open grass area behind Flint Cottage, with the finish opposite the start. The course is fully contained within the grounds of Hylands Park and runs mainly on grass with some gravel and woodland paths. The terrain is generally firm but uneven; in wet weather grass and woodland sections may become soft or muddy.

Travel and parking information is provided on site. There is a designated free event car park accessed via Greenbury Way, a managed drop off zone, and Blue Badge parking accessed via the Hylands House entrance approximately 100 m from the event site. Around 20 cycle spaces are available in the main car park and some cycle spaces are by the visitor centre. First Bus service 351 stops outside Hylands Park; Chelmsford railway station is listed as approximately 3.5 miles away. No electric vehicle charging points are available onsite; the nearest public chargers are listed offsite.

Facilities noted include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible. Entry includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
