NSCCL round 1 - Betley Farm
The North Staffs Cross Country League holds its first round at Betley Farm on 26 Sep 2026. The league uses traditional cross country courses in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire and consists of four races with scoring based on finishing position for both team and individual competitions.
Only first claim members of affiliated clubs may compete; guest runners are not permitted. Club colours must be worn by club members. Age categories are calculated from date of birth and assigned according to age on 31st August; for under 10s the entrant must be at least 9 on race day.
Team scoring requirements vary by age group: Under 11s/13s/15s/17s require 3 to count for both sexes. Senior Division 1 requires 6 to count for men and 4 for women. Senior Division 2 requires 4 to count for both sexes. Vets over 35s require 6 men and 4 women to count. Vets over 50s require 4 to count for both sexes.
Individual scoring: senior scores count from all four races; under 17 age groups use the best three of four races. Promotion and relegation apply in senior men’s and women’s leagues with the bottom two teams of Division 1 relegated and the top two of Division 2 promoted.
